Curating Communication CUCO is a communication practice focused on the creation and promotion of knowledge towards the arts.

Working with visual arts and performing arts, CUCO continuously explores new ways of enhancing the aesthetical and philosophical dimensions of art production, encouraging a close engagement between artistic, curatorial and communicational processes. It frames a critical and experimental practice that contributes to the expansion of both fields of knowledge – Communication and Arts.

CUCO aims to develop meaningful connections between artists, art projects, its audiences and societies through contemporary communication – builds informed and critical strategies; selects and manages communication techniques; tests and designs tools to be specifically applied to the communication of the arts.

CUCO was conceived in 2014 and is being developed in line with the research and work of Sílvia Escórcio, an independent communication consultant, specialized in contemporary arts and based in Lisbon, Portugal.
